As any good brand agency worth their salt will tell you that a brand is much more than a logo. However, we kinda liked this image posted above so thought we'd share it.
Why? Well it's not just that they have snappy well designed logos. No, think again - although we bet you can easily name all the great company's logos. Yes, they're all good brands that have worked long and hard to win consumer trust and confidence. Good client and customer service, combined with employee and stakeholder engagement goes hand in hand with shaping your brand. So if you're thinking of updating your business cards or logo, also consider your whole brand and your core services. Where are you now? Where do you want to be? What's your internal and external perception? Who are your key target audiences? Don't just obsess about the pretty logo. We love pretty logos, but nice images alone don't make a brand. However, how you interact with your staff, consumers, suppliers and other stakeholders does. See our Howies blog for a great example of a company that have perfected a great brand.
Most importantly, the next time you want to update your 'look and feel' do ensure that you can deliver on your brand promise to your consumers. Your brand creates an image and a perception. Get it right and it's an asset, get it wrong and it does you damage. Check out Interbrand's Best Global Brands for some inspiration from the big brands.
Or contact us for an informal chat about your current challenge. Don't worry we promise not to quiz you on the logos above !
